RSS is a way of following this site without an algorithm sitting in the middle deciding what you see. You copy one link into an app called a feed reader, and every new post turns up there by itself, in the order I wrote it.

There is no account to make and no email address to hand over. I never find out who is subscribed — the feed is just a file your reader quietly collects.

no feed reader yet? pick one

  • Feeder — free and open source, for Android. No account needed at all. Also on F-Droid.
  • NetNewsWire — free and open source, for Mac and iPhone.
  • Feedly — works in any browser, with Android and iPhone apps too. Free tier.
  • Inoreader — also browser-based, a generous free tier.
  • Reeder — paid, for Apple devices.
  • Miniflux — self-hosted and deliberately minimal, if you run your own things. It’s what I use.

Install one, look for “add feed” or a + button, and paste the link in. That’s the whole process.

Rather just say hello? The keep in touch page has an anonymous message box and an email address. If you already know your way around, the raw feed is right here — be warned, your browser will show it as plain XML, which is what feed readers actually want.
